You may find yourself in a conflict with your spouse, and depending on far matters have gone, you may be saying to yourself, “If I can only get him/ her to understand my standpoint, we can work things out amicably” “how would separation affect me and my children?” or “I am so fed up of fighting and legal bills that there must be another way.” Prolonged adversarial processes weary not only you and your spouse or ex- spouse, but perhaps most importantly, the children.

During the mediation process, an experienced TriMediate member will help you to come to agreements regarding child support, spousal support, custody, access and property division, so you can begin to breathe easily again and get everyone back to a normal life.

Wherever in the story you happen to be, mediation can offer a viable solution for most cases. However, where there is domestic violence or significant power imbalance between the parties, or if the last modicum of mutual respect and cooperation has been lost, then we do not advise mediation.
